A Wedding Photographer in Dijon and His Incredible Story

My name is Andrés Fluxa. Today, I’m a wedding photographer in Dijon, Burgundy. But before I got here, I lived an adventure that changed my life. An adventure made of detours, silent connections, and unforgettable light. I’m sharing this story with you so you understand where I come from, what I carry with me when I photograph a wedding, and how a round-the-world bike trip shaped the photographer I’ve become.

From History to Images: An Inner and Outer Journey

Before becoming a wedding photographer in Dijon, I was a history teacher in Argentina. I taught with passion, but deep down, I felt something was missing—a call to the unknown, a thirst for the world, for connection, for challenge. One day, I decided to listen to that voice. I sold everything I had, grabbed my bike, and left—alone, with no return date. I was thirty years old.

For five years, I cycled through faraway countries: Turkey, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, China, Japan… Every day was a lesson in humility and presence. I learned to observe, to feel, to be fully in the moment. Communication often happened without words—a gesture, a smile, a look.

In China and Kazakhstan, I didn’t understand a single word. But I learned to read emotions in people’s eyes—in a frown, a silence, a subtle movement of the hand. These invisible skills are what guide me today when I photograph your emotions.

A New Beginning: From Traveler to Wedding Photographer in Dijon

When I arrived in France, I was no longer the same. I couldn’t go back to my old life. I had discovered the fleeting beauty of moments, and I wanted to capture them—to keep them alive.

Photography naturally became my path. I had already started taking photos during my journey—with my old Canon. Not just landscapes, but faces. Emotions. And what could be more powerful and authentic than a wedding?

A wedding is a burst of emotions. It brings together love, family, tears and laughter, quiet moments and joyful chaos. Being a wedding photographer in Dijon allows me to blend my life experience with my artistic eye.

I observe, I feel, I capture. I seek out genuine emotions, soft light on a cheek, hands reaching for each other, knowing glances. Every wedding is an adventure, a new beginning, a still journey into the intimacy of two souls.

My method is that of a storyteller. I don’t stage or direct. I remain present, attentive, discreet. I blend into the moment. I look for natural light and fleeting instants. My years on the road taught me patience, respect, and most of all—the art of being ready when magic happens.

I became a wedding photographer in Dijon because I believe every love story deserves to be told with honesty, tenderness, and passion. My bike journey around the world taught me to love people, to read between the lines, and to sense the right moment.

Today, when I photograph a wedding in Dijon, in Beaune, or anywhere in Burgundy, it’s those years on the road that inspire me. Photography, for me, means being fully present—attentive to the fleeting details that tell a story—your story.

My camera is an extension of the eyes I trained across thousands of kilometers and countless faces. Each photo I take is meant to capture not just an image, but a real emotion, a true gesture, a singular atmosphere.

It’s this love of the world and of human connection that I now bring to your memories. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for letting me continue, in my own way, this great journey called life.
